Between 1915 and 1920, hundreds of thousands of troops were based at Clipstone Camp, Nottinghamshire. Co-produced, shot and edited by Jungle filmmakers, this special Time Team episode follows a team of archaeologists, foresters and volunteers as they seek to uncover the training trenches and learn more about what life would have been like for those young men based there before they departed for the front lines of mainland Europe.
Jungle is now a firmly established member of Time Team’s Expedition Crew, travelling to sites all over the country and helping unearth some of our intriguing hidden heritage.
